Opening Camionetjes opgraven, David Bade & Tirzo Martha

Schepen van cultuur Anniek Nagels, C-mine cultuurcentrum, FLACC en de dienst cultuur van de stad Genk nodigen u vriendelijk uit voor de opening van de tentoonstelling van David Bade en Tirzo Martha op zondag 28 januari 2018 om 15.00 in C-mine cultuurcentrum.

David Bade en Tirzo Martha zijn twee Nederlandse/Curaçaose kunstenaars die met hun Instituto Bueno Bista, een kunstenplatform en -opleiding op Curaçao, neerstrijken in de galerie van C-mine. Hun vaak maatschappijkritisch en geëngageerd werk wordt gecombineerd met een open atelier, waarin het werk dat ze in 2017 en 2018 in Sledderlo deden en doen met de bewoners ook een plaats krijgt. Deze twee bijzondere kunstenaars maken twee maanden lang van de galerie een broedplaats van talent in rechtstreekse verbinding met de rest van de stad.

De tentoonstelling is gratis toegankelijk van 29 januari tot en met 18 maart, van 10 tot 17 uur en één uur voor en na de voorstellingen. Voor meer info over bijzondere evenementen tijdens de tentoonstelling kunt u terecht op www.c-minecultuurcentrum.be.

De tentoonstelling is een samenwerking tussen het C-mine cultuurcentrum en FLACC en kwam tot stand met de steun van de Vlaamse Gemeenschap en het Mondriaan Fonds.

Deputy Mayor for Culture Anniek Nagels, FLACC, C-mine cultuurcentrum and the Department of Culture of the City of Genk kindly invite you to the opening of the exhibition David Bade & Tirzo Martha on Sunday 28 January 2018 at 3 pm.

David Bade & Tirzo Martha, two Dutch/Curacao artists temporarily set up their Instituto Buena Bista, a visual arts platform and training initiative established in Curacao in 2006, in the gallery of C-mine. The presentation of their often sociocritical and socially committed work is combined with an open studio in which the ongoing work they created together with the residents of Sledderlo in 2017 and 2018 is showcased.
For two months, these remarkable artists will turn the gallery into a breeding ground for talent, in direct connection with the wider city.

The exhibition is freely accessible from January 29 through March 18, 2018, from 10 am to 5 pm and one hour before and after the performances. For more information on the special events that take place during the exhibition, visit www.c-minecultuurcentrum.be.
