FLACC selects a limited number of graduates from the Flemish Academies of Arts and offers them a one year scholarship and workshop. This year also the neighbouring Academy for Visual Arts of Maastricht was visited. For the year 2007 Mike Carremans (PHL, Hasselt), Kim Rikken (Academie Beeldende Kunsten Maastricht), and Leen Van Severen (Sint-Lukas, Brussels) were selected. In consultation with the artists, FLACC explores what is the best possible way to support them individually. During the next Open House, from 26 January to 24 February 2008, work of the selected artists will be shown.
