Under the title ‘Among artists and organizations’, FREESPACE LIMBURG 2005 set out to stimulate interaction between artists and arts organizations. ‘Local’ artists were invited to work with an artist who at some stage had already participated in an edition of FREESPACE LIMBURG. Between February 13th and April 17th 2005 these pairs of artists occupied six rooms at Z33.
At stage one (from February 13th 2005) the local artists, chosen by the partners, were given time to explore their allocated work space. They were Marcel Hoeben (Artisit), Caroline Coolen (PHL), Raymond Minnen (NICC), Ignace Van Ingelgom (CIAP), Willo Gonnissen (Z33) and Virginie Bailly (FLAC©). After April 1st we had a chance to see the result of the cooperation between local and international artists from the previous FREESPACE LIMBURG exhibitions. That two-month work process was presented in a catalogue and in a ‘weblog’.
