Pavel Balta

Pavel Balta (1993) was raised in Moldova. In his practice he combines illustrations, printmaking, ceramics and performances. Balta’s work revolves mostly around satire, using symbols and stereotypes that are connected to his personal worldview often featuring images of Eastern European culture. He is trying to determine the various extremes in the day to day lives of people in our society. With a focus on contemporary subjects like consumerism, conspiracy, organized religion, government, cults, depictions of terrorism in today’s media, racism, UFO’s, etc.
