The work is inspired on Magic: The Gathering, a fantasy card game that is often organized in domestic circles (think of Dungeons and Dragons). Magic is accompanied by a large collection of specific concepts and actions, a logic of gestures. Taking the imaginary, the imagined world of the game as a point of departure, the work leads us to Joris. We look at the tender way in which his hands move through the cards, how he shuffles them, throws a dice. The portrait of Joris is brought to the fore through his hands. The touching of matter is juxtaposed with the fiction of the game.
