Lagast is currently exploring the possibilities of graphic techniques, namely silkscreen printing, in order to rediscover this method and to allot the two-dimensional a place within her oeuvre. Onto digital prints she prints abstract motifs which appear to refer to certain codes and notes which are identical to those on street plans and town-planning maps, in atlases and statistics (dots, concentric circles, street plans). The result being a redefinition of the photo, no matter how illegible the original print was. The project is a joint venture with the Frans Masereel Centre in Kasterlee.
