KICK OFF

At the end of June 2006, FLACC selected six artists newly graduated from Flemish art academies: Samira El Khadraoui (Sint-Lukas, Brussels - Fine Arts), Fara Haesevoets (MDA, Genk - Photography), Philip Janssens (KASKA, Antwerp - In Situ³), Hilke Muyldermans (Sint-Lukas, Brussels - Fine Arts), Joris Perdieus (Sint-Lukas, Brussels - Fine Arts), Frederik Van Simaey (KASK, Ghent - Visual Arts & Installation). They are offered a studio and a grant enabling them to work in Genk for a year, starting in September 2006. In consultation with the artists, FLACC is currently investigating how best to organise their individual support. During the annual Open House of FLACC, new work by the six selected artists will be shown.
