Gert Jochems

Gert Jochems (b. 1969 - Brecht) studied Social and Political Sciences and International Relations at the University of Ghent. Later he studied photography at the Academy of Fine Arts in Ghent. He has worked as a freelance photographer for (the newspapers) Het Volk and De Morgen.
In 2003 he turned his focus to longer-term projects. The first project resulted in the book 'Rus' (2005).
